I CAN Fly with YVR
Canucks Autism Network is proud to be partnering with YVR- Vancouver International Airport to provide another Accessibility Tour for CAN families. The tour will take families through the entire pre-flight process (check-in, security, finding the gate, waiting, and boarding the plane) in a safe and supportive environment. The I CAN Fly program is an opportunity for families living with autism to decrease anxiety associated with flying and to build confidence in a controlled environment to help with future travel success.
This event will simulate the entire pre-flight process. Upon confirmation of enrollment, families will receive mock airline tickets as well as an I CAN Fly toolkit which will be useful throughout the accessibility tour. Staff will be stationed at each checkpoint to demonstrate the use of the toolkits. Families will be responsible for arriving at the airport as if they were embarking on an actual flight. Flight times will be provided with the confirmation email.
Due to the family nature of this event, 1:1 support is not available, however, many helpful volunteers will be on site providing support.

1. Each participating family member must have a government issued picture ID (i.e. passport, driver’s license, BC Identification, etc.),
