Social Group: for Siblings
The purpose of this program is to provide siblings of individuals with autism the opportunity to meet other siblings in safe and supportive environment. Siblings have the opportunity to discuss their experiences with other siblings through various discussion activities. In addition, siblings have the opportunity to engage in fun, recreational activities with their peers. This program is led by staff and volunteers, the majority of whom are siblings of individuals with autism.
Events are planned once per month from Sept-June (with the exception of Dec.). Please check this page and/or the newsletter for the monthly events. Participants are supported by a Coach, two Support Workers, and two volunteers.
Past events have included: art classes, swimming, cooking classes, game nights, mini golf, and more!
PLEASE NOTE: This program is for participants to attend independently. As our social programs are designed to encourage social interaction between peers, parents are asked to drop-off their children and return at the scheduled pick-up time. If your family would like to enjoy events together, please visit our Family Events page.
Please check back for upcoming sibling events or subscribe to our family newsletter to keep up-to-date on upcoming events.
