Northern BC Training Tour

In an effort to increase capacity for supporting individuals with autism, Canucks Autism Network (CAN) is returning to Northern BC to provide autism training to key groups in the community. CAN’s training tour will take place from February 5-February 9, 2018, with six scheduled workshops in Kitimat, Terrace, and Prince Rupert.
This is CAN’s second year providing training in Northern BC after having toured the region in May 2017. The goal of the training tour is to share knowledge and proven strategies for supporting individuals with autism in the classroom, home, and community settings. In addition, first responders will be provided with crucial training that will help to identify autism in order to safely and effectively respond to situations that arise involving individuals on the spectrum.
The training tour will take place in the following locations on the dates listed below:
- Monday, February 5 (6:30-9:00 p.m.) at Kitimat General Hospital
