Spearheaded by World of Golf Hall of Famer and four time Major Champion Ernie Els, the Golf Challenge consists of 20+ regional events at top-rated courses across the U.S. and Canada from May through October.
The Els for Autism 2019 Golf Challenge is a series of golf tournaments open to amateur golfers of either gender. Teams are made up of a maximum of two golfers, one of which will be registered as team captain.
Event Day Details
Lunch: 11:00 am – 12:45 pm
Tee off: 1:00 pm (seated in carts by 12:45)
Silent Auction: 11:00 am to 7:30 pm
Cocktails: 5:30 pm
Live Auction and Dinner: 6:30 pm
Fundraising
In this event series, a team’s fundraising ability is valued as much as their performance on the golf course. Teams will compete for prizes at their regional event. And all teams raising $15,000 Cdn. ($13,000 US) or more (including event registration fee) will join Ernie Els at the series finale in West Palm Beach on October 12-15.
After registration, each team is provided with online tools to create a personalized Team Fundraising Page to help secure online donations. Ernie Els will award ‘The Els Cup’ to the highest fundraising team from the series at the Grand Finale in West Palm Beach.
- $2,500 – Team qualifies to be shortlisted to receive IRISH LINKS fundraising award
- $15,000 – Team qualifies for the Grand Finale in West Palm Beach
- $30,000 – Team qualifies for the VIP Golden Circle Club at the Grand Finale
