I CAN Play BasketballI CAN play sports

(formerly known as the Soccer and Basketball program)
The purpose of the I CAN Play Sports program is to provide children with autism, and their siblings, a fun introduction into the world of sports! Participants will enjoy games and drills that work on fundamental movement skills, specifically those used in the sports of soccer and basketball. This program is designed to provide a fun, safe and supportive environment for all those taking part. I CAN BE ACTIVE

(formerly known as the Physical Literacy program)
The purpose of the I CAN Be Active program is to teach children with autism, and their siblings, fundamental movement skills in a safe and supportive environment. Learning fundamental movement skills such as running, jumping and balancing helps children build the confidence necessary for a lifetime of sport and physical activity. This program is designed to give children the opportunity to be active and work on their physical literacy through games.

The purpose of the I CAN Play Sports program is to provide children with autism, and their siblings, a fun introduction into the world of sports! Participants will enjoy games and drills that work on fundamental movement skills, specifically those used in the sports of soccer and basketball. This program is designed to provide a fun, safe and supportive environment for all those taking part. I CAN SKATEvictoria-skate
The purpose of the I CAN Skate program is to teach skating skills to children and youth with autism in a safe and supportive environment. The Kelowna skate program focuses on basic skills such as moving forward, gliding and stopping. Skate programs are offered to participants with autism between the ages of 4-15yrs.

I CAN SWIM
The purpose of this I CAN Swim program is to teach swimming and basic water safety skills to participants with autism in a safe and supportive environment. Participants will work on level appropriate skill development, and it is hoped that these skills will assist them to enjoy a lifetime of fun and safe water activities. Swim programs in Kelowna are offered to participants with autism between the ages of 7-15yrs.

I CAN GET FIT
The purpose of the I CAN Get Fit program is to teach youth and young adults with autism how to use a fitness facility in a safe and supportive environment.
The program focuses on basic skills such as learning to use cardio and weight machines, and provides an introduction to gym etiquette. In addition, participants will be encouraged to build independence and fitness skills that can be maintained outside the program. I CAN Get Fit programs are offered to participants with autism who are ages 14 and up.

OVERNIGHT CAMP

Overnight camp is an opportunity for participants with autism to experience an unforgettable adventure in the great outdoors. Additional information about this program is available on the Overnight Camps webpage.

how to Access CANucks autism network Programs 
In order to access any of the above programs, individuals with autism and their families must first complete our online membership registration. This can be done through our registration site.

How to Register

Once the membership applications are complete, individuals and their families can use the same system to register online for upcoming Canucks Autism Network programs and events at www.canucksautismprograms.ca.
